A legacy film is one of the great gifts you can give to the past and future generations. But we only have a short window to get those untold stories down on camera. Now is your chance, before it's too late.

Our bread and butter

Legacy Film Creation

Serving and celebrating our golden-aged loved ones is our favorite thing. So crafting timeless, powerful legacy films is all we do. And we’re pretty dang good at it if we do say so ourselves. This page will tell you everything you need to know about booking us to film a documentary about you or your loved one, but if you have any questions, please reach out to us via our form!

Who Our Films Are For

We create unique, one-of-a-kind documentaries all about the lives and legacies of the people you love most. Typically, our subjects are grandparents or parents—but these films make great gifts for kids and grandkids, too! So if you’d like to book a film about your own story to pass down as an heirloom, we absolutely love that idea.

You’ll know it’s time to book a legacy film for your loved one if …

  • You think they’re the coolest cats on the planet and deserve to have their story preserved (beyond simple photographs)
  • You feel deeply connected to your family’s history and want to continue learning more about the people who came before you
  • You recognize time is finite, and you want to ensure their legacy is passed down before it’s too late
  • You want to be sure the stories you’ve loved hearing don’t disappear forever

There are thousands of reasons you might book a legacy film, but it all comes down to this—you are a beautiful culmination of everything and everyone who came before you, and preserving your family’s history on film is a powerful way to be part of, and carry on their legacy.

So Much More Than Just A Film — Your Package Includes

  • Planning and location scouting assistance (if you’d like to film outside of your home)
  • Multiple calls or FaceTimes with me to get to know each other and help you prepare for film day
  • Tons of guides to help you prep and organize
  • 1-3 hours of raw video footage
  • A professionally-edited, 30-45 minute documentary film
  • High resolution, professionally edited image files (web-ready with download rights)
  • Professionally archived family photographs

While these films and the memories they carve in stone are absolutely invaluable, you’re getting all of this for $2800!!

But It’s More Than That

  • Connect deeply with your loved one(s)
  • Ask questions you’ve never thought to ask and hear stories you’ve never heard about the people you hold closest
  • See your loved one(s) in a whole new light and likely learn something new
  • Give future generations a way to connect with older generations (even if they’re no longer around)

It’s an opportunity to…

And when someone we love passes, there’s so much we miss—the sound of their laugh, the way their eyes crinkle when telling a funny story, heck—just HEARING their voice at all.

With a legacy film, you can preserve all of that and have it to lean on when you need it most—something I desperately wish I’d done for two of my grandparents. Because let me tell ya, when you get hit with the, “I wish I could call them up one last time,” feels, nothing soothes the soul quite like seeing their face and hearing their voice tell the stories you love the most.

Not to channel doom and gloom, but death is inescapable.

Imagine Hearing Your Loved One Tell Their Story Like This…

SAY NO MORE I'M IN!

Let’s Talk Logistics

STEP ONE: You’ll book a session for yourself or a loved one. Shortly after, you’ll receive an email from me, and we’ll set up a time to talk. This is also when you’ll sign some paperwork and pay your retainer.

STEP TWO: After some planning and preparation, I’ll fly out to your home (or wherever we’re filming), for your interview. We’ll get about 1-3 hours of footage, along with some gorgeous portraits.

STEP THREE: I’ll put on my favorite tunes and start editing your footage into a 30-45 minute documentary. 10-12 weeks later, you’ll receive your completed film and can watch it together as a family! (And yes, I’ll be crying right along with you.)

Not In Nashville

No worries! I’m a traveling storyteller and can’t wait to come meet you and your loved one. Wherever you are, I’ll pack a bag and fly on over. Just let me know where you’re located on your inquiry form, and we’ll handle the logistics later.

But still want a legacy film?

Q: WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

A: I’m in Nashville, TN. A lot of my clients are out here, too. However, I’m always down to travel to you and film in the comfort of your own home!

Q: WHEN WILL WE GET OUR IMAGES AND FILM?

A: You'll receive sneak peek photos within two weeks of finishing your session. You can expect your full gallery and film to be completed 6 months after filming.

Q: HOW LONG IS THE VIDEO?

A: Your film will be anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes long. You’ll also get access to all of the raw footage. While I do not like to cut out stories, if we record 2-3 hours' worth of footage, there will definitely be pieces missing that I felt did not contribute to the overall theme. With the raw footage, you can look back at the deleted scenes!

Q: HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

A: I require a 30% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking and signing the contract. The remainder is due the day of the interview. I accept payment through PayPal and HoneyBook (including credit cards and ACH).

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?

A: Once your date is scheduled and booked, your retainer fee is non-refundable. If you decide to reschedule, you will need to pay a new retainer fee. This is to account for the opportunity lost by forfeiting your scheduled date and not being able to schedule a different shoot in its place.

Because Nothing Beats The Feeling

Imagine the look on your grandpa’s face when you tell him you want to create a film all about him and his story. He’ll probably laugh it off at first, acting like there’s not much to say, or he’s not that entertaining.

But deep down, you both know that’s not true. He’s got decades' worth of stories, experiences, and wisdom to share. And by giving him a platform to share them, you’re sending the message that he matters, his legacy matters, and you want to honor it in the most special way.

Crafting a legacy film will show your loved one just how much you value them. It will make them feel so loved, heard, honored, and seen—and who doesn’t want their loved one to feel that way?!

There are no words to describe just how much our aging loved ones mean to us, but creating a legacy film all about their life certainly comes close.
